After a long and hard search, I finally came across this amazing make-up by ZAO. I truly feel this is one of the best products out there in the make-up industry right now. Their focus is on that of being sustainable and focusing on using natural and organic ingredients. They use minimal plastic where required (there a strict laws in the make-up industry on packaging) but more of their packaging is either bamboo or cotton. Their products are also refillable which is incredible!

VOLUME MASCARA

Its formula and the specific shape of its brush can thicken and curl eyelashes to enlarge the eye. Based on very mild organic avocado oil, it is perfectly adapted to sensitive eyes and to contact lens wearers.

Organic bamboo hydrosol

Derived from the distillation of bamboo leaves, this is recognised for its richness in silica that gives it remineralising virtues. It’s beneficial for thin and weakened eyelashes because it repairs and strengthens.

Acacia gum

Acacia gum or gum arabic that comes from the resin secreted by the Acacia tree of Senegal, is used as an adhesive agent, to improve the hold of our ZAO mascaras.

Organic avocado oil

Obtained by fruit pulp, the avocado oil is renowned to stimulate hair and eyelashes growth while strengthening them.

Ingredient Highlight

Organic shea butter

Shea butter is extracted from shea nuts, a tree growing only in the wild in the savannahs of West Africa. Its composition rich in fatty acid gives it moisturising and nourishing properties. Moreover, apply on eye contour, it prevents from the appearance of wrinkles.

Aloe vera mascara application

First work the upper lashes, holding the brush horizontally closer to the root and then go up with a zigzag. Insist on the outer part to enlarge the eye or centre for a more open look.

If the brush is too loaded, remove the excess with a tissue but not at the edge of the tube.
